Unit 2 Training
Unit 2, The Application of Supervision and Rescue in a Swimming
Pool, is run by an ISRM Pool Supervision Trainer/Assessor. It is
designed to consolidate much of the theory in Unit 1, giving candidates
a deeper understanding of the role of the lifeguard and pool operational
practice, with particular emphasis on the legal requirements of
the lifeguard and pool operator. Unit 2 is continually assessed
over a minimum of 7 hours.
- The lifeguard and the law.
- The role of the lifeguard.
- Normal operating plans.
- Emergency action plans.
- Provision and use of play equipment.
- Diving and jumping.
- Flumes, water slides and other features.
Unit 2 is normally delivered within the NPLQ program, however
Alchemy is happy to offer this additional training to candidates
and centres where their course provider has not done so, or where
refresher courses are required.
We will look at your Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency
Action Plans and integrate these into all aspects of our training.
The aim is to give your teams a full appraisal of how to react within
your organisation to the different situations they may encounter
and operate safely within the law and guidelines set for the pool
and leisure industry. |
