First Aid courses
for Studio Instructors
Earn your REPS Points.
As part of your registration with REPS you will need to hold a
current first aid qualification. Of all the options available to
you we have tailored a course to your requirements as we understand
the specific problems that you will face in first aid administration
whist teaching. Courses can be run in your venue anywhere in the
UK and certification lasts for 3 years.
This training course meets the recommendations laid down by the
Health and Safety Executive for the appointed person in the work
place certificate. This is the minimum qualification that will be
recognised by the HSE in a work environment. Course timing is 5
to 6 hours, which is typically delivered over one day. All of our
instructor team at Alchemy train seven days a week at a time and
place that suits you and your staff allowing you the greatest flexibility
in terms of when and where you gain these vital life skills.
Delegates will cover the following topics during the course:
- Safety at the scene of an accident
- Unconscious casualty management
- Rescue Breathing - Adult
- CPR - Adult
- Control of Bleeding
- Shock
- HIV / Hep B awareness
- Strains, Sprains and Fractures
- Disorders of the Circulation
- Legal requirements and obligations
Instructors will also include the recognition and treatment of
various illnesses and injuries relevant to your teaching clients.
If you choose to hold an on site bespoke course you can specify
these conditions in advance so as you are sure you are receiving
all relevant information.
There are no formal assessments during the course, however the
instructor will carry out an ongoing assessment of all delegates
throughout the training. It is a requirement of certification that
each delegate can carry out CPR to the satisfaction of the instructor.
